Wellness is not just how you feel,it's how you interact with the world.

In this unprecedented time we all have the choice to accept, change, and grow or to resist, do nothing and wait. I have never known a successful person to wait around for anything. Social isolation seems like a very torturous idea. However, I strongly believe we can do anything for periods of time. Here are some ways to help you navigate through a pandemic or any difficult times:

1) Always keep moving forward, don't think too much about all the what if's. Continue to work toward your dreams and goals. If you don't have dreams and goals maybe it is a good time to reflect on what those might be. Possibly start a journal, make a vision board, or order a book that may inspire you to try something new. Whatever you decide to do, don't let the thoughts in your mind become stagnant waters, let them flow like a rippling stream.

2) Make sure to exercise. Hopefully get outside and into nature, but if that doesn't excite you or it is too cold find something online that gets you up and moving. It can be as easy or as difficult as you desire. I would love for you to try my Virtual Pilates sessions but mostly I just want you to keep moving. Not only is it good for your body but it is good for your mind!

3) Eat healthy whole and clean foods. In times of stress our instincts usually turn to comfort foods which are generally sugary and processed. When our bodies are stressed it can potentially lower our immune systems. What our bodies need is for us to eat whole, clean and healthy foods in order to boost our immune systems. Ever hear the saying "trust your gut"? It is literally saying healthy gut, healthy mind. Taking care of what we put into our bodies will help us to deal with stressful situations much better and more calmly.
